ARCHIMEDE
is a modern managerial/executive collection featuring attractive linear styling.

Desks
Desks come with 2 mm thick electrowelded metal profile legs with a rectangular external section measuring 80×20 mm.
The leg is provided with Ø70×10 mm spacers in cast metal with a bright chrome finish, used to secure the legs to the desk top with M6 hex screws
Ø 60 mm chrome finish feet have millimetric regulation to level the desk.
The following leg shapes are available: ring (A), “L” shaped (B) and “T” shaped (D).
The “L” shaped version for operational desks can be provided with a shelf to house a CPU (C). The “T” shaped leg is used on desks, meeting tables and half moon extensions.
Work tops are in 690 kg/m3 dense, 40 mm thick particle board, class 2 fire rating, and come in the following finishes:
– melamine faced edged with 2 mm ABS;
– 1 mm precomposed wood veneer edged with wood and finished with water-based varnish.
Work tops can be enhanced by extruded aluminium edging (epoxy or brill finish), in the following finishes:
– melamine faced (A);
– precomposed wood veneer (A);
– melamine faced and covered in 2 mm thick leather (B);
– 6 mm thick porcelain stoneware (backed with a 30 mm thick melamine-faced panel) (C);
– 8 mm thick extra clear toughened glass, embossed with water-based paint on the lower part and if required with anti fingerprint treatment on the upper part (backed with a 30 mm thick melamine-faced panel) (C).

Return desk
The Archimede collection includes independent or hook-on return desks. The latter is fixed by a common metal plate measuring 420x180x3 mm.

Modesty panel
An 18 mm thick modesty panel, available in several finishes, can be fitted under the worktop.
– melamine faced;
– precomposed wood veneered;
– melamine faced and covered in 2 mm leather.

Structural service cabinets
Desks can be provided with structural service cabinets with sliding doors, if required with an internal drawer and filing unit or three drawers.
Service cabinets can be internally organised as follows:
– With drawer unit, without CPU holder (A);
– Without drawer unit, without CPU holder (B);
– With drawer unit, with CPU holder (C);
– Without drawer unit, with CPU holder (D).
Service units are available in two depths: 600 mm and 900 mm (A). The latter includes open compartments (B), with shelves that can be in melamine or glass.
The structure and drawer pack are available with a melamine or precomposed wood veneered finish.
Sliding doors can also be in acrylic, with a brushed aluminium frame, and provided with a lock.
The cabinet stands on H.120 mm ring legs in a range of epoxy powder colours, or in brushed polished stainless steel.
All cabinets can have a magic top that provides access to the rear internal compartment for wire management.

Structural drawer packs
Desks are also available with a melamine-faced structural drawer pack with four shallow drawers, (A), two shallow drawers and a filing drawer (B) or two filing drawers (C):
The handles illustrated below can be applied to the drawer fronts:
Drawers on both structural drawer packs and service cabinets slide on roller runners with a maximum capacity of 20 kg per pair (A) or on ball bearing slides with a capacity of
30 kg per pair for drawers and 40 kg per pair for filing units (B).
As an option, standard runners can be provided with a soft-closing mechanism. Soft closing is provided as default on ball bearing slides.
Drawer interiors are in wood effect melamine-faced particle board.
Drawer packs come with millimetric adjustable feet, lock and anti-tipping system.
Filing units have full extension and are designed to take the following folder types:
– front-to-back: 310 – 330 – 370 – 390 mm;
– side-to-side: 310 – 330 mm.

Meeting tables
Meeting tables are square, round, rectangular, barrel or oval shaped and have the same features (finishes, legs) as desks.

Coffee tables
Archimede also includes H.400 mm coffee tables with a pair of ring legs and featuring the same finishes applied to desk tops.

Bookcase
The bookcase has 5×36 mm thick shelves in melamine-faced or embossed particle board. The “L” shaped metal structure comes in several epoxy powder colours or brushed
polished stainless steel. A TV stand can be created by removing the two central shelves.

Electrification
Desk and meeting table tops can be provided with PVC wire management of different sizes and aluminium modular top access plates. On demand these elements can be
placed to meet requirements.
Desks and meeting tables can be supplied with a metal section wire management tray (A) or one in steel rod (B), secured to the top.
Vertical electrification can be provided with a translucent polycarbonate spine wire management system secured to tops (type A), cable tidy sleeving (type B), magnetic vertical
cable duct (type C) or double cable riser to be applied to the ring and T-shape legs (for both D 60 and D 90 cm) (type D).
